Thrower is a skill that can be given to a lemming in Lemmings 2: The Tribes. A Thrower hurls a ball, which becomes part of the level terrain when it lands. If the ball lands on flat terrain, the lemmings cannot walk over it. A Runner given this skill takes a run-up before throwing, and throws the ball much further than a non-Runner.
